Connect ComingUp as a remote custom connector, approve access, then ask Claude about your plans, lists, notes, contacts, and recipes.

Why connect ComingUp

Claude can use approved ComingUp context to check your plans and make supported updates for yourself or your household. Connecting an assistant is optional.

After connecting

Ask for what you want in normal language; there are no MCP commands or special syntax to learn. When a request clearly relates to ComingUp, compatible assistants can usually select the connection themselves. Automatic connection selection is controlled by the AI provider and can vary by client, plan, and conversation. If the assistant does not select ComingUp, say “use ComingUp” as a simple fallback.

Check plans and add events

Ask what is coming up, find event details, or create and update events in ComingUp. Google and iCloud events can be viewed, but must be edited in their original calendar apps.

Make lists and keep them useful

Create a shopping or packing list, add items, change them, and check them off. You can also remove individual items.

Save and update notes

Find a note, save useful information from a conversation, or update an existing household note.

Keep useful contacts handy

Find a saved contact, add a new one using details you provide, or update an existing contact.

Create a recipe together, then save it

Ask your assistant to suggest and refine a recipe, then tell it to save the ingredients and instructions privately in ComingUp. Saving requires a plan with recipes and permission to save them; it does not publish the recipe.

Report a problem or suggest an idea

Ask your assistant to help describe a bug or feature request, then submit it privately to ComingUp when you agree. With support access, it can also check your reports and any replies. If the connection itself is broken, email support@comingup.today.

Deliberate limits

  • No permanent deletion. Assistants cannot permanently delete your events, lists, notes, recipes, contacts, or household. They can remove individual list items.
  • Excluded areas. Photos and media, billing changes, and household administration are not exposed.
ComingUp MCP information

Step by step

Connect ComingUp to Claude

Set up ComingUp as a Claude custom remote connector.

  1. Open Connectors

    In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.

  2. Add a custom connector

    Choose the plus button next to Connectors, then select Add custom connector. On Team or Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner must first add it from Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web.

  3. Name and enter the endpoint

    Name the connector ComingUp and enter the code-owned remote MCP endpoint.

  4. Authorize ComingUp

    Choose Add or Connect, sign in to ComingUp, and review the requested permissions.

  5. Use ComingUp

    After connecting, enable ComingUp where Claude offers connector controls, then ask naturally. Remote connectors are account-brokered and can be available across Claude surfaces.

  6. Reconnect ComingUp

    If ComingUp access expires or stops working, reconnect ComingUp Today from Claude’s connector settings. Claude will send you through ComingUp’s normal authorization flow again. Review the requested permissions before approving. Write access is available only for the permissions you approve.

  7. Disconnect or revoke access

    Remove ComingUp through Claude’s supported connector controls. This revokes Claude’s access; there is no separate ComingUp MCP grant-management screen. Information Claude already received remains governed by its terms and privacy policy. Reconnecting requires ComingUp’s normal authorization flow again. Connected external calendar events remain provider-owned and read-only. If reconnecting or disconnecting fails, contact support@comingup.today.

Troubleshooting basics

  • If Add custom connector is missing, confirm that your Claude plan and organization settings support remote connectors.
  • If an organization connector is unavailable, ask the organization owner to provision or enable it.
  • If Claude does not select ComingUp, enable it from Search and tools or explicitly say “use ComingUp.”
