Pizza Dough!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Lukewarm water
  • 1/2 Pinch Sugar
  • 3/4 tablespoons Active Dry yeast
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 2/3 cups All purpose flour or bread flour
  • 3/4 teaspoons Salt

Instructions

🍕 My Go-To Pizza Dough

Step 1: Activate the Yeast

Start by adding warm water and sugar to your mixing bowl. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until it gets nice and foamy. Give it a quick stir to combine.

Step 2: Mix the Dough

If using a stand mixer:
Add in the olive oil, flour, and salt. Using the dough hook, mix on low speed until everything starts coming together. Scrape down the hook if needed, then turn it up slightly and let it knead for about 5–7 minutes, until the dough is smooth and stretchy.

If mixing by hand:
Add the olive oil, flour, and salt, then use a fork to mix until a dough starts forming. Transfer it to a lightly floured surface and knead by hand for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. If it’s too sticky, sprinkle in a little extra flour as you go.

Step 3: Let It Rise

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and turn it so it’s coated. Cover with plastic wrap and a towel, then let it rest in a warm spot until it doubles in size—about 2 hours.

Step 4: Shape the Dough

Preheat your oven to 450°F.
Punch the dough down gently, then divide it into 1–3 portions depending on how many pizzas you want. Let the dough rest for another 20 minutes.

Transfer to a lightly oiled pan and use your hands to stretch and shape it however you like.

Step 5: Add Toppings & Bake

Top with your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings. Bake for about 15–20 minutes, until the crust is golden and everything is melted and bubbly.

💡 Make-Ahead Tip

You can also store the dough in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Just place it in a sealed bag and remove as much air as possible.
