Today, Week, and Month explained

Ordinary calendar views use your device's timezone. Household Display and AI use the organization's household timezone setting; changing it does not change the timezone of these calendar pages.

  • Today

    Shows the internal and imported events scheduled for the current local day.

  • Week

    Places the next seven local days in one schedule, starting with today.

  • Month

    Lays events across the selected month for a wider scan of the schedule.

Looking farther ahead

Upcoming dates for recurring events created in ComingUp are prepared using a next 14 days, with more dates appearing each day. Some repeats beyond that window may not appear yet in the calendar or in schedule answers from a connected AI assistant. Your repeat settings remain saved, and upcoming dates are added as the window advances. You do not need to recreate the event.

This is not a blanket limit on all future events: other events, including one-off events and imported calendar events, may appear farther ahead. Do not treat an empty date outside the window as proof that you have no plans.

Month view can also hide additional events behind an indicator such as “+1 timed”. Open the date in the day view to check the full date. If an expected repeat within the next 14 days is still missing after checking its settings and refreshing, contact support. See the local-events FAQ for the full explanation and checks.

02 / Clear ownership

Source ownership: internal and imported events

  • Events created in ComingUp:

    Create, update, and delete these events directly in ComingUp Today according to your permissions.

  • Google and iCloud events:

    Imported events remain provider-owned and read-only. Edit them in their original calendar; ComingUp does not write back to the provider.

  • Show/hide controls:

    Choose whole imported calendars to include, rather than individual event rows.

03 / Shared visibility

How the shared calendar works

The shared calendar brings together events for your active ComingUp organization. Use it for your own plans or share visibility with invited members.

  • Shared access:

    People invited to the same ComingUp organization can share calendars and household information according to their permissions and plan limits. Separate ComingUp organizations remain separate.

  • Calendar visibility:

    Show or hide whole calendars. Events from shown calendars appear together; events from hidden calendars do not.

  • People are context:

    Standard calendar visibility does not provide per-person or group filtering. People and contacts do not grant access.

People are event context

Link people to events created in ComingUp even if they do not sign in. Contacts separately hold reusable external person, organization, and location details. Neither record type grants access to your ComingUp organization.

  • Members authenticate

    Invited members sign in and use the shared schedule for their active ComingUp organization. Access depends on organization membership, permissions, and plan limits, not on living at the same address.
